Business Operations Analyst (Full-time)

Position Overview

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a growth mindset who is excited by tackling big, global challenges—and building the operational backbone that makes it all possible. In this role, you will work directly with our VP of Operations to help build out and manage the day-to-day operations of a growing consulting firm. This is a high-expectations role with significant mentorship and room to grow.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations

Financial Operations

  • Manage day-to-day business operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing.

  • Develop and maintain monthly financial reports including cash flow forecasting, level-of-effort tracking by employee, AR/AP aging, and margin analysis by client and employee.

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement solutions.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance across our portfolio of projects, which span government, nonprofit, and private-sector clients with varying requirements.

  • Manage benefits administration and insurance compliance.

  • Maintain operational documentation and internal policies.

Talent & Recruiting

  • Own recruiting processes as the team grows, including outreach to universities to build a pipeline of interns, recent graduates, and mid-career professionals.

  • Coordinate onboarding for new team members.

General

  • Research industry events and recommend where the firm should invest time and resources.

  • Support client meetings and workshops, including contributing to slides and deliverables as needed.

  • Ad hoc work as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $55,000–$85,000 (commensurate with experience)

  • Vacation: 10 days paid time off

  • Bonus: Up to 10% of annual salary based on performance

  • Location: Remote-friendly with flexibility (see Note on Location below)

Required Qualifications

Background

  • You hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

  • You have 1–3 years of relevant professional work experience in finance, operations, or business administration.

Note on Location

We are a distributed, global team working primarily on the US East Coast (EST) time zone in order to collaborate seamlessly with US and international clients and partners.

We provide our team with the flexibility to work remotely from other locations in the US, with limited stipulations:

  • Have a strong broadband connection.

  • Willingness to work primarily during US EST hours.

  • Domestic and international travel is a possibility (up to 10% of your time).
