Project Manager (Full-time)
Position Overview
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a growth mindset who is excited by tackling big, global challenges. In this role, you will play a key role in orchestrating the execution of Vernonburg Group’s work to close the global digital divide, aligning and guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality consulting services to clients around the world. This will entail translating ambitious scopes of work into actionable work plans, maintaining effective communication and coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders, and proactively navigating risks and changes in a dynamic market. You are the glue keeps it all together, the essential gear that keeps everything on track.
Job Responsibilities and Expectations
Work with project leads/subject matter experts to understand a scope of work and translate that into an actionable work plan.
Lead workstreams and track timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure complex projects with multiple workstreams and distributed teams remain on track.
Manage daily client interactions with clear and confident communication. Support project leadership in ensuring responsiveness to clients and overall client satisfaction.
Contribute to business development and proposal generation efforts.
Collaboratively develop project management tools, templates, and best practices for the organization.
Translate ambiguity into actionable plans for yourself and your team.
Escalate risks early to project leadership.
Collaborate to provide high-quality contributions to the preparation of publication-quality reports covering broadband data, technology, economics, and policy; project planning documents; and data visualizations and analysis of broadband availability and adoption.
Ad hoc work as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $80,000–$120,000 (commensurate with experience)
Vacation: 15 days paid time off
Bonus: Up to 15% of annual salary based on performance
Location: Remote-friendly with flexibility (see Note on Location below)
Required Qualifications
Background
You hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, international development, economics, telecommunications, project management, or a related field.
You have 3-6 years of relevant professional work experience, particularly managing projects of varying complexity. Experience in broadband deployment, digital opportunity, global digital development is preferred.
You are a US citizen, or a non-US citizen lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the US.

Note on Location
We are a distributed, global team working primarily on the US East Coast (EST) time zone in order to collaborate seamlessly with US and international clients and partners.
We provide our team with the flexibility to work remotely from other locations in the US, with limited stipulations:

Willingness to work primarily during US EST hours.
Domestic and international travel is a possibility (up to 10% of your time).
